Applications for the 2010-2011 school year are now closed.  Please complete the parent inquiry to put your name on the waitlist.

Applications are available from mid-August until mid-October.  Applications are filled out and submitted directly through the website.  A lottery to continue in the application process will be held in mid-October.  Families selected will be scheduled for a tour and a playdate which take place from November through January.

We have programs for children who are 18 months as of September up to age 5.

Tours

Tours are for parents only and last approximately two hours. 

As you enter the classrooms you will observe teachers and children engrossed in their morning “act ivities period” or morning meeting.  There will be lots of activity and movement throughout the classroom.  The teachers’ primary focus is the children and for this reason we will not interrupt the class to introduce parents.  If the teachers have a free moment they will introduce themselves.  In order to allow the children to continue their work during your observation, please follow the guidelines listed below:

• We ask that you be an observer.  You will be offered a child sized chair and asked to remain seated unless the teacher invites you to observe a particular area of the room or specific project.
• You will be visiting more than one classroom.  Please wait to be escorted to the next room.
• Feel free to take notes for further discussion with the Director and Admissions Director after the classroom visits.
• Please turn cell phones off while in the classroom; it creates a distraction for both the teachers and children.

Please allow approximately two hours to observe the various age groups and to meet for the follow up discussion.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Playdates
 
Parents and children are invited to participate in half-hour playdates.  Parents are encouraged to play with their children as administrators interact with all the families.  After approximately 20 minutes, we will gather and sing a few songs. 

Letters are sent out to all families in early March according to the ISAAGNY calendar.
